Do Mountain Lions Get CAT Scans? ‘Cat Burglar’ Shows up at Hospital
Not even the officials could refrain from making cat puns when a mountain lion showed up in the courtyard of a hospital in southern Arizona. Was it a “cat burglar” coming to strip the place of its valuables? Was it there for a CAT scan?
One patient at the Tucson Medical Center filmed the mountain lion attacking the window where a bunch of people had gathered to see what was going on. In the video posted to X, a crowd of people seemed shocked to find a mountain lion on the other side of the glass. When the animal sees them, it lunges at the window, leaving a bloody smudge behind.
“Whoa, whoa, whoa!” a man exclaims.
“Call security,” another person says, and the crowd agrees.

For the more official version of the story, check out the Tucson Police Department’s post below, which leads in with an inevitable “cat burglar” pun.
Wildlife officials were able to safely remove the animal from the area. The mountain lion had damaged a window, but there were no injuries. The police department reports that the lion is healthy and “doing great” after its ordeal.
